What is ROADEO?  

Roadeo is a tremendous opportunity to promote transportation in Indiana and also to let your drivers know how much they are appreciated by your agency. Who May Compete:  Any driver, who has been employed or acted as a volunteer driver in either demand response or regular route service since 05-2014, may enter.  During that time the driver must not have had a chargeable accident; been suspended from duty; had disciplinary action; or had three unauthorized absences.

 

What is Involved:  Driver's will take a written test, drive an obstacle course, and demonstrate vehicle inspection and passenger assistance skills.  The driving test will be conducted with a 15 passenger van.  A detailed course description will be mailed out with the confirmation of your registration.

 

Where will ROADEO be held:  Columbus Airport, Columbus, IN.  (detailed instructions will be sent with your registration)

 

When is the ROADEO?  Saturday, April 18th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. 

 

Why should my agency participate?  This event promotes transportation in Indiana.  It also gives your agency a chance to show your drivers how much you appreciate their skills.  All drivers who particpate will receive a Certificate of Participation from INCOST/RTAP.  Prizes will be awarded for the top three drivers.  The first and second place competitors will receive an all expense paid trip to Tampa, FL to compete in the twenty-sixth National Transportation Roadeo held on May 31, 2015.

 

How much will it cost?  INCOST Members is $30 per driver and $20 for each additional driver.  Non-Members will be $50 per driver and $20 for each additional driver.
